Berberian was featured bass for 20 seasons at the Metropolitan Opera in New
York. He has performed with most of the major opera companies and symphonies in
the U.S. and many in Europe and Asia. He is presently located in Detroit,
Michigan. Alan Hovhaness was a superb pianist, and this is one of his very rare recorded performances. This recording was originally released on Poseidon Records ca.
1970.
